2012 spring schedule

Seniors Stretch & Relax Yoga (open to all levels)

Monday mornings, 11:30-12:30,  March 12 to April 30 (7 weeks) — Oliver Woods

Friday mornings, 10:00-11:00, April 13 to May 18 (6 weeks) — Rotary Fieldhouse (850 Third Street)

This classical yoga class includes gentle stretches and relaxation suitable for people who wish to increase their flexibility, balance and strength.  Wear comfortable clothing and bring a blanket. Fees and registration through Parks and Recreation (250-756-5200). Taught by Dorlean Peck.

Health and Healing Seminar

Friday afternoons, 1:00 to 2:00, April 13 to May 4 (4 weeks) — Bowen Park

This course gives alternative ways to improve your well-being. It includes relaxation, breathing, reflection, visualization and meditation. This is not an exercise class. Please bring a journal. Fees and registration through Parks and Recreation (250-756-5200). Taught by Dorlean Peck.

Kundalini Yoga

Wednesdays, 7:00-9:00 pm, beginning January 11 — 1040 Dufferin Crescent

Investigate your ideals and learn to create a foundation for character building, courage, and awareness. This class awakens you to a higher understanding of yourself. This is an ongoing group that is open to new participants. To register, phone Kix at 250-816-3377.

You are most welcome to come to your first class free of charge so you can check it out for yourself.  Inquire about rates for those on fixed incomes.
