We offer classes in Spokane at our studio in Browne’s Addition, as well as other sites, such as Dept. of Developmental Disabilities and Providence Center at Sacred Heart. Call us if you would like classes at your workplace.
We are part of a wide network established by Swami Sivananda Radha over 40 years ago, including the Association for the Development of Human Potential (ADHP), Yasodhara Ashram, the Radha Yoga Centers, and Timeless Books.

Our Founder: Swami Sivananda Radha (1911 – 1995)
Swami Radha was one of the first Western women to bring yoga to the West. In 1955 after having a powerful visionary experience of her guru, she traveled to India to meet Swami Sivananda. In February 1956, she was initiated into sanyas, a commitment to a life of selfless service and renunciation, and was asked to return to the West to update the ancient teachings of the East for the western mind. She was also asked to start an ashram and many centers of Light.
Swami Radha was 44 when she went to India. She spent the remaining forty years of her life passionately committed to the teachings, giving workshops and classes in Canada and the U.S. During this time she founded Yasodhara Ashram in Canada, the Association for the Development of Human Potential (ADHP) in the U.S. and Radha Yoga Centers throughout North America and Europe. In 1969 she founded Ascent magazine, which became an international yoga magazine (2000 – 2010). In 1978 she established Timeless Books which continues to publish works based on her teachings.
Swami Radha was dedicated to helping people build character by gaining a better understanding of themselves and by discovering their spiritual foundation. Her teachings have withstood the test of time and continue to inspire people to bring quality and awareness into their lives. Swami Radha named her successor, Swami Radhananda in 1993. The Ashram, the ADHP and the Radha Yoga Centers continue to present her work in the spirit it was given, maintaining the quality and integrity that were the essence of Swami Radha’s life.
