Friday 11th
7:00 pm Satsang Location: #2205 – 33rd Street SW
Enter your retreat with a time of mantra and inspiration. You will need a journal for this special satsang. No registration required. By donation,
Saturday 12th
10:00 am to noon Hidden Language Hatha Yoga
Listen to your body’s language as we combine hatha yoga and journaling.
Bring a journal and yoga mat and wear comfortable excercise clothing.
Please bring a lunch if taking both workshops.
1:00 to 3:00 pm Kundalini Yoga
This is the study of the energy available to us and how we use it. Bring a journal.
7:00 pm Kirtan with local group Shakti Deva Listen at www.shaktideva.ca
Join in the singing of traditional devotional yoga songs (bhajans) led by Shakti Deva.
Suggested donation $15.00. No registration required.
Sunday 13th
10:00 to noon Mantra and Meditation
Wrap up your retreat with this quiet time using mantra as a focus. Wear comfortable clothing, bring a journal and a blanket or cushion if you may want to sit on the floor.

Satsang is a Sanskrit word meaning “in the company of the wise”, a devotional gathering in the yogic tradition. It is an opportunity to come together and give thanks for all that we have received. Swami Radhananda will talk about the power of a promise and how her life was transformed through yoga.
The Yoga of Reflection – Learning from Life

Swami Radhananda used her diaries to trace her spiritual development. Being aware of our own experience is one way of learning the value of life. Being grateful for what we know is another.  By reflecting on our lives, we can learn from our victories and our mistakes.
Take this time to explore your unique path. How did you get to where you are? What have you already learned? Where do you go from here? Swami Radhananda will lead you through spiritual practices and writing exercises that help you take your journaling to a deeper level.

Yogic Tools for Transformation

In this workshop, suitable for both beginners and experienced yoga practitioners, Swami Radhananda shares the spiritual tools that helped transform her life into an extraordinary one. Find out how these same powerful yogic practices can help you grow into the person you want to be. What are the obstacles on your path? What is your potential?
Practices may include the Divine Light Invocation, mantra, spiritual diary, visualization and Hidden Language Hatha Yoga. Expand your awareness with yogic tools that help you listen to your body, concentrate the mind and use the power of your imagination in a positive, directed way.

  • Swami Radhananda is the spiritual director of Yasodhara Ashram in Kootenay Bay, BC, Canada. Appointed president of the Ashram in 1993 by her guru, Swami Sivananda Radha, she carries forward the spirit of Swami Radha’s work with heart, creativity and practicality.

Under her stewardship Yasodhara Ashram has thrived as a harmonious community built on the spirit of generosity and inclusion. Swami Radhananda encourages students to live their yoga in daily life and to realize their potential through self-inquiry, service and devotion.
